The Donald Simpson Centre has some enthusiastic woodcarvers who meet each Tuesday morning from 8 - 12 in an area provided by the Centre. Basic carving tools are available but, after a time, members are encouraged to purchase small individual tool kits. Session charges are currently set at $2.00.
A wide range of traditional carving topics are undertaken. Subjects include three dimensional works as well as deep and shallow relief projects. Membership includes male and female, novice carvers and others with some earlier experience.
